We are looking for a vibrant and professional individual to join the SQUISH team! We are looking for a dynamic individual who can communicate well and has a special interest in food/confectionary. You must be comfortable working in a fast paced environment, capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Review purchase orders. Work pro-actively to reduce the cost of purchase by consolidating the POs, minimizing pickups and buying smart.
• Negotiate pricing with the suppliers
• Responsible for issuing purchase orders to the suppliers, confirming purchase orders to ensure proper pricing and arrival dates. Follow up with vendors that are non-compliant.
• Ensure follow-up on correspondence, suppliers’ rates requests or any information requests;
• Ensure follow-up on supplier’s insurances contracts;
• Manage any procurement activities including RFP’s (Request For Proposals)
• Maintain accurate costing. Communicate with the Sales team on costing
• Interact with the suppliers on a day to day basis.
• Communicate purchase orders to selected vendors (verbal or emails)
• Track the status of orders.
• Continuously review deliveries against the orders.
• Respond to discrepancies received by comparison of purchase orders to packing list and invoices.
• Contact vendors to resolve any issues related to received shipments.
• Resolve all price discrepancies on vendor invoices.
• Ensure that all invoices are sent to accounts for payment.
• Produce and maintain all reports. Print reports and purchase orders.
• Execute yearly and seasonal contracts for all assigned suppliers and ensure supplier files are kept up to date and organized;
• Address special projects as assigned by Supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Diploma of Collegial Studies or post-Secondary-Business/Supply chain diploma and/or relevant work experience.
• Language: French and English – written and spoken;
• Strong knowledge with Microsoft-based computer operating systems and software especially Excel.
• Strong communication skills, spoken and written, very good spelling and syntax;
• Diligent, very detail-oriented, analysis, logic and basic mathematics skills;
• Understanding of the buying and contracts process. • Good negotiation and interpersonal skills, Ability to communicate and interact well with vendors.
• Outgoing and highly motivated.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Able to perform multiple tasks at once.
• Positive Attitude with good customer service skills.

JOB DUTIES

REQUIREMENTS
• University degree, ideally English, marketing, or journalism related
• Highly articulate with an excellent command of written English
• Language: French and English – written and spoken;
• Able to develop editorial content in a constantly evolving environment
• Previous experience as a content manager or copywriter
• Experience in the world of digital communications and mastery of the various social media platforms
• Excellent command of Word, PowerPoint, and Keynote
